Hey !
So , I know this post is long over due considering the concert I went to was on the 27th of June - but I have been really busy (which I know is a common excuse - but I really was !) If you read my February Favourites post , you would know that I am a mega Swiftie . I also briefly mentioned I was going to her 1989 concert in London ,Hyde Park. The concert was amazing and I loved every single bit , so today I thought I would
just write about how I got ready for the concert etc. (#interesting !) It is a very basic look and I did my make up in Taylor Swift style (ooooh Taylor Swift pun there ;-) ) Well , let's begin !

just write about how I got ready for the concert etc. (#interesting !) It is a very basic look and I did my make up in Taylor Swift style (ooooh Taylor Swift pun there ;-) ) Well , let's begin !
At the concert I wore a grey skater skirt which I got from H&M . I also wore a Black Taylor Swift Hoodie - which was from the official Taylor Swift 1989 Store . Since it was quite hot , I wore a Black camisole underneath , so if it got super hot I could just remove the Hoodie , however there was no need as I didn't need to (because for some wacky reason I never get hot , or it could have been because I have the hairiest arms in the universe and I didn't really want 65 000 people to see them - that was probably that reason ...)
The Make-Up
The Make-Up was pretty basic , I went for a natural eye shadow shade , with a bold red lip , and winged eyeliner . The products I used were :
•Johnsons Body Care Lotion
•Natural Shadow and Primer Glow Palette 2 - Barry M .
•Lancome Red Lipstick (Not sure what number and shade , but any bright red lipstick should do )
•Rimmel Exaggerate Black Eyeliner
•Collection Lengthening Mascara
•A Peachy Blush ( Super sorry that I don't know the brand !)

Tutorial
•I started off by applying a thin layer of the lotion on my face . Since I don't have many 'in your face' spots , I didn't find it necessary to use any foundation or concealer , however if you do have a prominent spot , and you want to conceal it , I would recommend applying any concealer etc. after the cream .
• After that I got my eye-shadow palette and started by applying the slightly shimmery ,golden shade all over my eyelid . This is very pigmented , so be careful when applying , because you don't want it to stand out too much ! I then got the more chestnut brown colour and just applied that to the corner of my eye .I then got my blending brush and merged the two colours so it looks more natural .
•After I had finished with my eye shadow I moved onto my eyeliner . I started by applying a thin layer to my lashline , and then I slowly started to build it up into a cat eye .
• I then applied my mascara (two blinks n' a shimmy)
•Then , I applied the peachy blush on my cheek bones (just think goldfish if you don't know where to apply it )
•Finally , the lips . Because the lipstick I used felt very dry on my lips , I put on a bit of lip balm before applying it . (If you want to know how to make your own lip balm click here (hopefully that link works *prays nervously )
•After you put on the lipstick , you have finished the Make-Up look , and you are ready to move on to hair

Hair
The hair was very simple . Taylor Swift has a very classy look , with her simple fringe and occasional bangs - and that is what I re-created .
This hairstyle can be done with any hair length , despite Taylor's hair being short .(NOTE : This look works best with straight and wavy hair -I'm not sure whether it works with proper curly hair , if you try it please send me a picture , I would love to see !)
•This step can be missed if you already have a side swept fringe , however if you don't there is a simple way to get a temporary one . Start by taking part of you hair (closest to your forehead) and twist it round .
•Once it is all twisted , place it across your forehead , in an angled position - just like how Taylor's fringe looks (does that even make sense ?!)
•You then get some hair grips (bobby pins etc.) And quickly pin the ends of the 'fringe' to the rest of you hair . Once that is done you can just play around with the look , you can shape the fringe and potentially crimp the rest of your hair , or just leave it how it is .

AND THAT IS THE FINISHED LOOK . I know I said this earlier but the concert was truly incredible , and I had such a good time , even though our place in the concert wasn't the best area as it was quite far from the stage , it was still such an amazing experience , and as a Swiftie - I have never screamed and danced so much in my life ! My favourite bit was actually before the concert started (weird , I know ) It was when we entered and the people by the gates handed us these light up bracelets and said 'A gift from Taylor' . I felt so special , even though everyone got one , but that doesn't matter !
Hope you enjoyed this post ! And if you have been to any concerts lately , leave a comment below !
