Moving House : The In's & Out's :)

Hey,

I'm so sorry for being irritatingly inactive - I have a bunch of exams coming up and i've been non-stop studying. I hope you can forgive me :)

Recently , I moved house and it was really hard to say goodbye to my old one - considering that i'd lived in the other one for a good 4 years and made many of my core memories there. I had my first period in that house , I got accepted into the school I really wanted to go to - in that house. I've had some of the best sleepovers ever in that house. But now I don't live there anymore :/

I know moving house is a universally tough challenge. Some people don't mid it , but others (like myself ) do.

Facts about the new house :

  • It has a conservatory- my old house didn't.
  • I get my own personal bathroom.
  • There is a mini shed in the garden for me to make into a future clubhouse.
  • I'm getting a loft bed.
  • The showers are a bit dodgy at the moment.
Most of those things are good - and they do make me excited for this new move , and I think it's important to have those things when you're moving. Little things to look forward to. I'm going to be decorating my room to what I consider ' comfy , cozy and cute' perfection .

I think that's the main exciting thing about this - redecorating. It's something I really love doing , and i'm excited for eventually showing my friends.

However , there is alot to get used to. For starters , transport to school and extra curricular clubs. My room has down sized too - so I need new places for my things etc.

Initially I wasn't too pleased about the size of my room, but I decided to look on the positive side and make it more cozy. I'll have my own work space & won't have to study in the cramped study room with papers spilling out from almost every nook & cranny!

But anyway , have any of you guys moved house recently? I know this wasn't really a helpful post - more of a life update , but maybe i'll do a post in the futrue of decorating? I already have made this cute 'Chanel' (the logo printed on paper and stuck to a glass wine bottle) vase with this fake , pastel flower placed inside. It looks cute ;)

Anyway , Ciao !

   Bye xx

10 Things That Will Make You : Smile/Giggle/Roll On The Floor Laughing #Mission Positivity

Hey!

This post has a really long title , but I felt that this post was long title worthy so that is why the long title is staying ! Recently , i've been feeling a bit down . I guess it's down to alot of things really , such as friendships , family , self-esteem etc. I feel everybody has those kind of days , when they don't want  to wake up , instead they just want to sleep and eat food and to forget about their problems completely (actually i'm guilty for wishing for that all the time !) However , that's not an option , and I know how it feels to have to survive an awful day and pretend that everything's fine , even when that one girl who you absolutely despise keeps getting in the way of things , or you have to go through an hour of your least favourite lesson & you're just there like 'why!?' So , as a little present for you all - here's a post to make you :

a) Smile
b)Giggle
c)Roll On The Floor Laughing ( if you are prone to this , I advise you to not sit on a chair )

*Yes I totally just spammed ya'll with happy photos*

And yes , i've added a sneaky '#' into the title , and even though 'Mission Positivity' is probably the least original/interesting name ever , it'll have to do . So , let the random facts + stories begin ...

  1. Cute Quote ( because what positive post doesn't start with one of these ?!) : 'It's alright to be a glowstick - sometimes you have to break before you shine '
  2. Grandma Joke ;
Me : What do you call a cow that plays a musical instrument ?
You: I don't know ...
Me: A MOO- SICIAN ! *bursts into hysterics/yes I laugh at my own jokes - ha*
You: *insert your reaction*

3. Have you seen that video of the baby panda sneezing? If you haven't - go watch it , and if you have - just watch it again !

4. Pamper evenings. So , i'm the worst at these , there is always something that goes wrong - but oh my lord are they the best. Treat yourself to a lil' bit of Lush - lounge around in your fluffy onesie and binge watch some Disney classics. Do anything that makes you forget about those 'urgh' problems.

5. Jam sessions. No , I don't mean stuffing yourself with strawberry jam or nutella (though that does work too). I mean playing some feel good music out loud and just dancing. For me , I love jamming to Taylor Swift - but 'Hey Mickey' is also a go to one. Sometimes just playing that Christmas album hiding at the back of your shelves does the trick too!

6. Remember , there are SO many other people going through what you're feeling too. I know loads of people say this - but I don't think many people truly acknowledge it x

7. If things ever feel like too much , look through old photo albums. Nostalgia is good for you , and whilst you're in this mini pamper bubble - it's alright to have those reminiscing moments :)

8. Watch re-runs of your fav. T.V show , or just that next episode which you've been waiting to watch but never had the time. I always find watching other people - whether it's things the Great British Bake Off/The Apprentice or some Disney Channel show (like the Lodge - season finale next week , Am I right !?)- really soothing , because you're forgetting your life for a bit and going into their's :)

9. De- clutter your room! Personally , I love a bit of re-decorating. I have a scrap book just for new ideas and i'm an avid Pinterest user.

10. Finally , i'd say baking. Baking is one of my biggest stress reliefs. I got into it by doing some citizenship award & it has really stuck for me :) I know Taylor Swift bakes alot too , and she's my utmost idol. Sometimes , I like watching other people bake. On youtube my top recommends would be : Rosanna Pansino (she's so lovely , and the cakes she makes are so beautiful!) , How To Cook That (again , her cakes just look WOW!) , Zoella (she's just so lovely , and has a real 'feel good' vibe to her videos) , and finally - Tanya Burr. I know Tanya loves baking, and I love that she always talks about anything in her videos - so you literally feel that you're in the room with her. She's purr-fect !

There you go guys , I hope you enjoyed this. And if you are having a bad day , always remember that a good one will come around soon. It may not seem like it , but one day it will seem SO insignificant - you won't even remember it.

Love you guys ,

         Bye !

The Truth Abouth Lipliners : Are They Worth It?

Hey !

Okay , please don't throw tomatoes at me - i'm extremely sorry for not posting in literally ages . Please forgive me?I've had so much going on , and i'm going to be moving house soon (get ready for soom 'Room D.I.Y' posts!) so you can imagine how hectic it's been.

So , it's summer time , and while all my friends are on holiday and taking really cute pictures for Instagram and Snapchat - I am wasting away in the comfort of my home.Yay me. Obviously , being at home leaves you with a huge amount of free time - meaning that I am jumping at the opportunity to do ANYTHING. Well , not anything - but you know what I mean.

I was having a lazy day today (ha , when am I not?) and was watching old Zoella and Tanya Burr videos , and after watching about millions - I seemed to have put myself in a very 'beauty guru' kind of mood . Resulting in me attempting to make a 'Make-up Tutorial' . That failed (but come on , who doesn't pretend that sometimes they're a world famous youtuber when they're applying make up , or getting ready for a party , or baking etc.) However , I did experiment with a lipliner , something that i've always been a bit ...'meh' about .I remember buying one quite a while back , after hearing some good reviews about lipliners in general. I'll admit , I never thought they'd be necessary - but before , when I applied lipstick without them , I always noticed the slightly dodgy edges (you know , not entirely ...'clean' or straight,)

Trying the lipliner today , I have officially decided that they are 100% useful! My goodness, I couldn't stop taking those pouty selfies (the silly kind) , and just look at how professional my lips looked ! I'm not sorry whether I just got lucky , and I magically came across the perfect lipliner brand - but let me tell you that if you're having doubts about whether they're worth the extra money , fear no more ! And , if my answer wasn't clear in the previous few sentences - Yes! Yes , they are so worth it :)

Thanks y'all for coping with my lousy posting schedule and I hope you liked today's post ! I promise you some more posts :)

Bye !

(p.s For those of you curious on which lipliner I bought , it was the Maybelline New York- Color Drama ,no.510 - Red Essential . It's a lovely dark-ish red colour that goes with a large amount of red shades . The lipstick I love using it with is the Rimmel London Kate Moss lipstick no. 22 (yes , my inner Swiftie also fangirled about the fact that it's red AND no. 22) Hope that was helpful , and dang this is a long 'p.s' . Love you , bye!)

Superdrug Mini Haul

Hey  !
As a small Christmas treat , here is a mini (very mini) Superdrug haul! There isn't much to say in this introduction , apart from ...LET THE HAUL BEGIN !
The first thing I bought was the Zoella , Blissful Mistful body mist . I love the packaging , and the scent is heavenly (I'm not just saying that) Since this purchase , I have used the perfume several times , and I never get tired of it .The scent is very flowery & sweet , and I would recommend it to everyone who is looking for a gift to give someone , or if they just want something for themselves ! The perfume was £8 , which I think is a bargain ,considering the quality .
The next two (and final-told you this was mini!) things I bought were 2 Kate Moss lipsticks . The first one I bought , was probably my favourite . It was the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in the number 22. This is a bright red lipstick , it's kind of like the ones you see Taylor Swift wear, which brings me to why I bought this specific shade . Apart from loving the colour ,and consistency - I noticed that it was a RED lipstick , and the number was 22 , obviously this sent me into a fangirl overdrive , and I had to keep it in, otherwise I would receive some odd stares . This product was £5.49 , which is a reasonable price , as I've heard great things about these lipsticks !
The next lipstick I purchased , was the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in the number 40.Apart from smelling like something super sweet (which is an added bonus !) this product instantly caught my eye . It's a peachy nude colour , and this lipstick was also £5.49 . The reason for this purchase , was because I had seen a lot of people rocking this shade, and I wanted to give it a go, so hopefully I won't look like I just murdered a peachy nude smurf !
That's all for now , hope you enjoyed today's post , and I'll be posting more soon. If I don't write anything before Christmas , MERRY CHRISTMAS !!
Bye Xx

Secret Santa Gift Guide & Tips

Hey !
So Christmas has nearly arrived & if you are anything like me - then you'll be either stuck on what to get or you'll be participating in a whole load of Secret Santa groups! I find getting presents for your loved ones easier , as you know them well - however , getting presents for someone you don't know ( In A Secret Santa  Present Exchange ) is way harder !This blog post will show you some cute things that everyone will enjoy receiving :)
The first thing I recommend getting if you're either in a rush , or have a budget is something from Lush . The bath bombs , lip scrubs , soaps etc are amazing quality and smell amazing too !The product that I have photographed is the 'Magic Wand Reusable Bubble Bar' . This was £5.25 , and smells like the scent 'Snow Fairy' . I feel that the bell adds a real Christmas feel to it , and it generally looks aesthetically pleasing & would be an adorable gift ! I believe there is a Christmas version of this bubble bar , which is called 'The Magic of Christmas'. Personally , I didn't like that scent much - however it's up to you ! A final tip that i'd like to add ,if you're looking to purchase something from Lush , is that they usually sell gift packages with an assortment of products in . These are already wrapped , in case you're like me - and have no skill when it comes to wrapping gifts . Of course the packages will be slightly pricey , so it depends on who you're shopping for .
The next thing , which I think is a cute idea - is getting lots of cute presents and putting them in a stocking . I know this is usually done in families , however these presents can be a bit more than a few nail polishes and socks . You could personalise the stocking , perhaps by stitching the gift receiver's name on it ? You could keep photos of them in the stocking , food , or anything else they might like !
Next up , are calendars . If you have been here for awhile , you'll know that I'm a HUGE Swiftie ; hence the picture is of a Taylor Swift calendar . I got this calendar from Poundland . Yes , as you probably have guessed - it was £1. It's not the official calendar , however it isn't tacky & each picture for each month can be used as posters afterwards ! There were a range of calendars available , not just of Taylor Swift . If you're unsure about getting a calendar from Poundland ,you can always get the official calendars of that particular artist , it'll be more pricey - but will definitely have better quality .
The next gift idea is linked to the other person I fangirl over , Zoella. If you watch her , then you'll know that she brought out some limited edition Christmas products/package sets . Those products are incredible and surprisingly at a good price! If you don't want to get an already made set , you can make one yourself , by mixing  and matching! In the photo I've included some of the products I've purchased from her collections - depending on the person , you can choose how many products you want to include , and when you've decided , you can use Zoella's Christmas present wrapping video to wrap them!
This gift , is actually a commonly used idea . It's a cute D.I.Y , however I think you can get these pre-made at some stores . Hot Chocolate in cup ! Except , it's not been heated or mixed at all! It's better than it sounds, trust me . So you'll need a mug , I would recommend a glass mug , or a Christmas styled mug . Fill a cellophane bag (halfway or 3/4 ? You choose) with cocoa powder , personally I love the Cadbury's cocoa powder the best ! You then add things like marshmallows ,sugar & cookies (Mmmm...!) After you have tied the cellophane bag up ( I recommend using cute ribbon etc.) , you place it in the mug , and then you can wrap up the gift in any way you want !
Jewellery is another commonly bought gift . You can do many things with this idea, for example , you can personalise it , buy pre-made sets of the jewellery etc. Whenever I receive jewellery , I tend to keep the box it comes in , am I the only one? There isn't much to say for this idea , apart from the places I recommend purchasing from . These would be , Claires & Acessorize. Despite being quite pricey , they sell the cutest pieces of jewellery from fancy to quirky !
The next gift idea , is one of my personal favourites ! It consists of a Christmas jumper & Christmas accessories. With this gift , you can pick and choose what you want to include . I chose some earmuffs , and a cute Christmas hat ! I got the hat from ASDA:George , last year . I can't remember the price , but I got it along with these festive Christmas tree gloves . I also got the earmuffs from ASDA:George , yet again , I don't remember the price (sorry  :P)  I feel that everyone should be festive during the Christmas period , and this would be perfect for someone who loves fashion , or who may not have many festive pieces in their wardrobe (saying this , do NOT raid someone's wardrobe to see what they wear - trust me , that can get awkward...heh)
Next , we have what I call the 'Movie Slumber/Pamper Night Bundle' . This another one of my favourites . Again , like the previous gift idea , you can pick and choose . Sadly , I didn't have any Christmas films to photograph , however I did include some popcorn and a big ,fluffy, pink onesie ! The whole purpose for this gift , is to provide the gift receiver with all the vital thing needed for a movie night ! Instead of a onesie , you could include some cute, fuzzy socks , and you can include more snacks if you want - it's a real flexible idea !
The final idea , is a memory frame . Ignore the Minions is the photo , I was in a very...'Minion Mood'. All you need is a simple- okay, not simple -frame (like the one shown). You can decorate the sides ( I attempted to do so ...I never was  great with paint  ) . Now , all you need to do is print out some personal pictures to do with the person that you're getting the gift for , and put them into the picture slots ...and VOILA !
Those were all my tips/ideas for Secret Santa , I hope you got some inspiration , and if you do try out one of these ideas , send me a picture via. email or Instagram ! That's all for now , and if I don't post anything in between now and Christmas ...MERRY CHRISTMAS ! I HOPE YOU ALL GET WHAT YOU WISH FOR !
BYE !Xx

Chocolate Or Beauty Advent Calendars ?

Hey  !
I'm really sorry that I haven't been posting much - I have been insanely busy and my mum has brought in this new rule which is 'No using the internet on weekdays , unless it's for studies ...' , which reduces the amount of time I have to make blog posts, nevertheless - I'm really sorry , and I will blog more often from now on !
Anyway , so Christmas is approaching and I assume that most of us are going to be going advent calendar shopping soon ( I know I have to!) .This year I was debating about whether I should get a beauty calendar -or stick with chocolate , and it occurred to me , that some of you guys may be wondering about the same thing too! So I thought that I should make a blog post , giving you the pros and cons of the two different calendars !
Pros Of Beauty Calendars + Cons Of Chocolate Calendars.
•Firstly , Beauty Calendars have a range of things in them , so its always exciting to open , (Not saying its boring to open the Chocolate Calendars - who can deny chocolate !?) .Chocolate Calendars only have one type of chocolate in them ,  and they only last for a small amount of time (or how long you take to eat the chocolate ).
•This brings me to my next point . Since Beauty Calendars contain beauty products , they won't run out in the 5-10 seconds it takes you to eat chocolate .You will be able to keep the products safely , so you can use them after Christmas too! It's like getting a Christmas present every day !
•This can be a pro & a con for Chocolate Calendars , as it depends on how much of a chocoholic you are . As a self confessed chocoholic , this is a huge point .Okay , so picture this , you wake up & rush downstairs to eat the days' chocolate , and then you hear the calendar calling out your name & begging you to open an extra door (Don't lie , I know its happened to everyone , at least once !) What do you do? Well...heh...you definitely don't listen to it...IS IT BAD THAT I ALWAYS LISTEN TO IT !? Anyway - I feel that with the Beauty Calendars, you can restrain yourself some more (well it depends what you like best ...)
•I have a friend who is allergic to dairy products (including chocolate ) , so for her - she can only buy Beauty Calendars - or no calendars at all. This can be a common problem with Chocolate Calendars, so you must ensure you read the ingredients before buying !
• My final pro for Beauty Calendars , is that sometimes they come in drawers , or boxes . These can be re-used  for storage purposes etc. (Or in my case , as a room decoration - considering that I'm a huge junkie/hoarder)
Cons Of Beauty Calendars + Pros Of Chocolate Calendars .
•The cons of Beauty Calendars are that they tend to be very pricey , and as someone who doesn't necessarily a have a load of cash - they are more expensive that your standard Chocolate Calendar . I think the cheapest one I have come across is the Tanya Burr - 'Deck the Hauls' calendar . This is £25 , which is definitely a bargain - considering the fact that all products are of extremely good quality !
•Another con of this particular type of calendar is the amount of days it supplies for . Beauty Calendars tend to only stock up to 12 days worth of goodies (sparing a few , however those are more pricey ). If you do decide to get one of these , I suggest you open a door every 2 days :-).
•Chocolate Calendars always stock up to the full 24 days , and the chocolate is extremely good quality (Cadbury's is my favourite !)
•If you do need a last minute advent calendar , Chocolate ones are always the best to go to , as they often have endless supplies of them , and are more commonly found!
I hope this helped , and if you don't want either of these calendars , you can always forget them and go for a play mobile one ;-) ! I'm still not sure what I should get , so leave a comment saying which one you would go for ,and hopefully I'll decide quickly ! Thanks for reading !
Bye !

TAYLOR SWIFT 1989 CONCERT GRWM

Hey  !
So , I know this post is long over due considering the concert I went to was on the 27th of June - but I have been really busy (which I know is a common excuse - but I really was !) If you read my February Favourites post , you would know that I am a mega Swiftie . I also briefly mentioned I was going to her 1989 concert in London ,Hyde Park. The concert was amazing and I loved every single bit , so today I thought I would
just write about how I got ready for the concert etc. (#interesting !) It is a very basic look and I did my make up in Taylor Swift style (ooooh Taylor Swift pun there ;-) ) Well , let's begin !
At the concert I wore a grey skater skirt which I got from H&M . I also wore a Black Taylor Swift Hoodie - which was from the official Taylor Swift 1989 Store . Since it was quite hot , I wore a Black camisole underneath  , so if it got super hot I could just remove the Hoodie , however there was no need as I didn't need to (because for some wacky reason I never get hot , or it could have been because I have the hairiest arms in the universe and I didn't really want 65 000 people to see them - that was probably that reason ...)
The Make-Up
The Make-Up was pretty basic , I went for a natural eye shadow shade , with a bold red lip , and winged eyeliner . The products I used were :
•Johnsons  Body Care Lotion
•Natural Shadow and Primer Glow Palette 2 - Barry M .
•Lancome Red Lipstick (Not sure what number and shade , but any bright red lipstick should do )
•Rimmel Exaggerate Black Eyeliner
•Collection Lengthening Mascara
•A Peachy Blush ( Super sorry that I don't know the brand !)
Tutorial
•I started off by applying a thin layer of the lotion on my face . Since I don't have many 'in your face' spots , I didn't find it necessary to use any foundation or concealer , however if you do have a prominent spot , and you want to conceal it , I would recommend applying any concealer etc. after the cream .
• After that I got my eye-shadow palette and started  by applying the slightly shimmery ,golden shade all over my eyelid . This is very pigmented , so be careful when applying , because you don't want it to stand out too much ! I then got the more chestnut brown colour and just applied that to the corner of my eye .I then got my blending brush and merged  the two colours so it looks more natural .
•After I had finished with my eye shadow I moved onto my eyeliner . I started by applying a thin layer to my lashline , and then I slowly started to build it up into a cat eye .
• I then applied  my mascara (two blinks n' a shimmy)
•Then , I applied the peachy blush on my cheek bones (just think goldfish  if you don't know where to apply it )
•Finally , the lips . Because the lipstick I used felt very dry on my lips , I put on a bit of lip balm before applying it . (If you want to know how to make your own lip balm click  here (hopefully that link works *prays nervously )
•After you put on the lipstick , you have finished the Make-Up look , and you are ready to move on to hair
Hair
The hair was very simple . Taylor Swift has a very classy look , with her simple fringe and occasional bangs - and that is what I re-created .
This hairstyle can be done with any hair length , despite Taylor's hair being short .(NOTE : This look works best with straight and wavy hair -I'm not sure whether it works with proper curly hair , if you try it please send me a picture , I would love to see !)
•This step can be missed if you already have a side swept fringe , however if you don't  there is a simple way to get a temporary one . Start by taking  part of you hair (closest to your forehead) and twist it round .
•Once it is all twisted , place it across your forehead , in an angled position - just like how  Taylor's fringe looks (does that even make sense ?!)
•You then get some hair grips (bobby pins etc.) And quickly pin the ends of the 'fringe' to the rest of you hair . Once that is done you can just play around with the look , you can shape the fringe and potentially crimp the rest of your hair , or just leave it how it is .
AND THAT IS THE FINISHED LOOK . I know I said this earlier but the concert was truly incredible , and I had such a good time , even though our place in the concert wasn't the best area as it was quite far from the stage , it was still such an amazing experience , and as a Swiftie - I have never screamed and danced so much in my life ! My favourite bit was actually before the concert started (weird , I know ) It was when we entered and the people by the gates handed us these light up bracelets and said 'A gift from Taylor' . I felt so special , even though everyone got one , but  that doesn't matter !
Hope you enjoyed this post  ! And if you have been to any concerts lately , leave a comment below !
           Bye !
